🕯️ Rabbeinu Bechaye ben Asher – רבינו בחיי בן אשר אבן חלואה

A Rishon and mekubal, Rabbeinu Bechaye revealed Torah’s hidden dimensions. His Kad HaKemach and peirush on Chumash emphasize that mitzvos must come from an inner place—not just rote actions, but heart-rooted service. He teaches that bitachon (trust in Hashem) creates true menuchas hanefesh. When a person genuinely trusts in Hashem, they aren’t shaken by the world’s instability.

He insists that the pnimius (inner world) and the chitzoniyus (outer deeds) must align for true avodas Hashem.

The Power of the "Good Point"
ree

Feeling overwhelmed? Rebbe Nachman of Breslov taught a powerful secret: even in our darkest moments, there is always a nekudah tovah—a "good point" waiting to be discovered.

It’s not about ignoring the pain, but about finding the one small spark of good that still exists. The fact that you want to feel better? That's a good point. The strength it took to get out of bed today? That's a good point.

This is about shifting your perspective in stress management!

Azamra ("I will sing!") exercise:

Pause right now. Find just ONE good point about yourself or your day. It can be tiny. Hold it in your mind. Acknowledge it. You just connected with your own inner strength. You are not your stress; you are the one who is navigating it with courage.

The Myth of "Too Much to Do"
ree

That feeling of having way too much to do is a major source of stress. It can leave you feeling paralyzed before the day even begins.

Rebbe Nachman taught that true wisdom is simplicity. It's about doing the next right thing, not everything at once. Stress Management research agrees, suggesting that we prioritize our to-do lists into "must-dos," "want-to-dos," and "can-wait."

But what if we started even simpler?

Today’s Emuna CPR Challenge: When you feel overwhelmed, your only "must-do" is to take one minute for the "Breathe" exercise.

  1. Stand or sit up straight.

  2. Inhale slowly to a count of five as you open up your chest.

  3. Hold for a count of three.

  4. Exhale slowly to a count of five.

You just gave your body and brain the oxygen they need to function well, taking you from worrying about the future to focusing on the present. You have the power to reclaim your peace, one breath at a time.
