How Emuna Builders Was Born
Eight years ago, I came to Israel carrying deep longing and whispered prayers—especially after walking through more than 18 miscarriages. In my search for comfort and connection, I traveled to the kevarim of great Tzaddikim, pouring out my heart to Hashem. From that journey of emunah, my “emunah baby” was born… and so was Emuna Builders—a place where no woman would ever have to pray alone again.
The full story behind the sisterhood of prayer, hope, and emunah
My name is Esther Adams, and the story of Emuna Builders began inside a very personal journey. It did not start with a plan or a vision. It began with whispered prayers, quiet longing, and a deep desire to feel close to Hashem during some of the most difficult moments of my life.
When I moved to Israel, my heart carried a very precious hope. I longed to become a mother and held onto that dream with everything in me. At the same time, I walked through more than 18 miscarriages, and each loss asked me to reach for new strength that I was not sure I had.
During this time, something unexpected began to unfold. Women started reaching out and asking if I could pray for them as well. These women were complete strangers, but their hopes and their pain felt familiar, and I felt honored to include their names in my tefillot.
Very quickly, this small circle began to expand. After just one prayer trek, I found myself carrying thousands of names with me to every holy place I visited. These were women from all over the world whom I had never met in person, yet their prayers settled beside mine as if we were already connected. This experience showed me how deeply women can unite through the simple act of praying for one another.
As I prayed for these women, something inside me softened. They began praying for me as well, and a shared spiritual bond started to flourish between us. What began as strangers gradually formed into a circle of sisters, each holding one another through tefillah and genuine compassion.
My prayer journeys took me to the kevarim of great Tzaddikim throughout Israel. I would bring my growing notebook filled with thousands of names and place them before Hashem with sincerity and hope. Each visit strengthened my awareness that no one is ever truly alone when prayers rise together.
Through those years, my emunah began to rebuild and deepen. It did not grow through dramatic moments but through small, consistent steps of choosing Hashem again and again. This quiet form of faith slowly created room in my heart for healing, connection, and renewed hope.
In time, Hashem blessed me with a child after so many years of longing. His arrival felt like the unfolding of a long path of tefillah, perseverance, and surrender. Rabbi Lazer Brody, who lovingly served as his sandek, was the first to call him my emunah baby, because he understood the depth of the journey that brought him into this world.
His birth did not erase the past, but it gave new meaning to it. It reminded me that emunah is not an idea but a lived experience that grows through persistence, vulnerability, and trust. It also showed me that Hashem accompanies us in every step, even when the steps feel hidden or painful.
After my son was born, the number of women reaching out for prayer continued to grow. Their stories were diverse, yet each one carried a thread of longing for connection, comfort, and clarity. I continued gathering their names, adding them to my Tehillim and to every prayer journey I took across Israel.
What began as a private practice slowly grew into a recognizable movement. It became clear that women were searching for a spiritual home where they could breathe again, pray again, and find strength in one another. They wanted a community rooted in emunah, compassion, and the shared language of tefillah.
This is how Emuna Builders came into being. It did not emerge from strategy or structure but from real life and real need. It became a sanctuary where no woman would ever have to pray alone and where each heart could find space to rest and reconnect.
Today, Emuna Builders has grown into a global sisterhood held together by thousands of women. It continues to flourish because each woman brings her own light, her own hopes, and her own prayers into the circle. It is a living expression of what happens when women choose emunah together.
My journey has taught me that Hashem hears every whisper, even the ones we think are too small or too quiet. I have also learned that when women gather in prayer, something powerful awakens within us and blesses the world around us. I am deeply grateful for every woman who steps into this space and becomes part of this unfolding story.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for sharing your prayers, your presence, and your heart. May Hashem guide you gently, bless you with clarity, and surround you with goodness in every chapter of your life.
If my story touched something in your heart, I invite you to take the next gentle step. Every woman carries her own prayer, and Emuna Builders was created to help you feel held, supported, and guided through yours.
