Blessing Over Type 1 Diabetes

ree

I bless the pancreatic islets, cradle of metabolic harmony,

I align their truth-anchored flow of hormone and nutrient exchange,

I receive their divine rhythm in every rise and fall of blood sugar,

By sacred orchestration, let endocrine balance dwell in holy coherence.

I bless the β-cells, insulin factories of life’s sweet equilibrium,

To sense each glucose whisper and secrete precisely measured grace.

I bless the α-cells, guardians of glucagon’s gentle counterpoint,

May their response to low sugar be a song of renewal, not excess.

I bless the islet microarchitecture, capillaries threading cell and signal,

May each vessel carry nutrients and cues in soul-rooted balance.

I bless the HLA class I and II molecules, presenters of peptide truth,

May they learn to display only benign self, inviting tolerance instead of turmoil.

I bless the dendritic sentinels within pancreatic lymph nodes,

To guide recognition toward peace, not mistaken assault.

I bless the CD4⁺ helpers and CD8⁺ cytotoxic T cells, once misdirected,

May their cytokines and cytolytic power transform into healing communication.

I bless the process of insulitis—immune infiltration and inflammation

May it yield to sacred resolution, restoring self-recognition and calm.

I bless the genetic predispositions (HLA-DR and HLA-DQ risk alleles),

May they turn toward protection, not predisposition to harm.

I bless environmental catalysts—viral mimicry and inflammatory stress

May their impulses refine immune wisdom, not ignite destructive fire.

I bless the loss of insulin’s guiding key, hyperglycemia’s harsh teacher

May blood sugar find its measure and cells receive their rightful sustenance.

By divine rhythm, these islets shall rise in restored balance.

Through sacred intelligence, autoimmunity shall yield to peace.

In embodied coherence, I bless and am blessed.

Amen.
