Blessing Over the Periodontium

Blessing Over the Periodontium

ree

I bless the periodontium, cradle of tooth and gum in sacred union,

I align its truth-anchored balance of gingiva, ligament, cementum, and bone,

I receive its divine rhythm in every bite, whisper, and smile,

By divine rhythm, let mucogingival harmony and holy coherence dwell.

I bless the gingiva, soft sentinel at the tooth’s collar,

May its epithelial seal and connective fibers hold firm against intrusion,

Turning sulcus into sanctuary of health, not harbor of decay.

I bless the periodontal ligament, fibrous web of attachment and proprioception,

May each Sharpey’s fiber tether root to bone with resilient grace,

Guiding force into sensation, preserving alignment and function.

I bless the cementum, subtle layer of anchorage and repair,

May its mineral tapestry renew itself in gentle stead,

Sealing micro-injury with restoration, not erosion.

I bless the alveolar bone, silent scaffold of support and form,

May osteoblasts and osteoclasts dance in balanced rhythm,

Carving and rebuilding lamellar strength beneath each root.

I bless the microbial biofilm, plaque’s shifting community

May its dysbiosis become cue for timely hygiene,

Inviting instruments and bristles to restore gentle balance.

I bless the host’s immune response neutrophils, lymphocytes, macrophages

May their cytokines (IL-1β, TNF-α) and MMPs transform from storm

Into symphony of resolution, clearing inflammation without destruction.

I bless the periodontal pocket, apical breach of attachment,

May its depth recede, each millimeter of loss reclaimed,

CAL and bone loss yield to new insertions of ligament and bone.

By sacred orchestration, this periodontium shall find restored balance.

Through soul-rooted intelligence, destruction shall yield to healing.

In embodied coherence, I bless and am blessed.

Amen.
