Blessing over Celiac Disease

I bless the small intestine, cradle of nutrient communion,
I align its truth-anchored flow of absorption and renewal,
I receive its divine rhythm in each villus and microvillus,
By sacred orchestration, let mucosal harmony and holy coherence dwell.
I bless the enterocytes, architects of selective uptake,
May their brush-border enzymes cleave only what nourishes,
Turning peptide and sugar into life’s sustaining essence.
I bless the villi and microvilli, finger-like grace of surface area,
May each fold remain tall and resilient, weaving capillaries and lymph in soul-rooted balance.
I bless tissue transglutaminase (tTG), modifier of gliadin’s shape,
May its catalytic gift refine tolerance instead of unveiling threat.
I bless the HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 grooves, presenters of peptide truth,
May they learn to display benign morsels, not mis-tagged gliadin fragments.
I bless the antigen-presenting sentinels—dendritic cells beneath the epithelium,
May their peptide dialogues invite peace, not misdirected alarm.
I bless the CD4⁺ T helper cells, once roused to inflammatory zeal,
May their cytokines transform from IFN-γ’s storm to currents of measured repair.
I bless the B cells and plasma legions launching anti-tTG and anti-gliadin,
May their antibodies evolve into symbols of balanced scrutiny, not relentless attack.
I bless the breach of tight junctions and gliadin’s entry,
May each opening close in gentle restoration, each mis-step yield to renewed barrier.
I bless the villous atrophy and malabsorption’s toll—diarrhea, anemia, weight’s descent
May each flattened fold rise again in vibrant architecture, each lost nutrient find its way.
By divine rhythm, this gut shall find restored balance.
Through sacred intelligence, overreaction shall yield to tolerance.
In embodied coherence, I bless and am blessed.
Amen.
