Many Hebrew versions of Tehillim include specific prayers for concluding the recitation, particularly for praying for the sick. Reciting Tehillim enhances the effectiveness of subsequent prayers, both through the merit of reciting Torah verses and the emotional impact of these words, inspiring more fervent prayer.

For the Sick: Chapters 20, 6, 9, 13, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 28, 30-33, 37-39, 41, 49, 55, 56, 69, 86, 88-91, 102-104, 107, 116, 118, 142, 143, 148. A shorter version includes Chapters 20, 30, 121, 130, 142. Following this, spell out the Hebrew name of the sick individual using chapter 119's verses. Chapter 119, an acrostic of the Hebrew alphabet, is used to recite verses corresponding to each letter in the person's name. Often, the words "ben/bat" (son/daughter of) and the mother's name are included, along with the phrase “kara satan” (tear Satan), signifying a plea to annul any negative decrees.

At a Person's Grave: Chapters 33, 16, 17, 72, 91, 104, 130. Then, spell out the deceased's Hebrew name from chapter 119's verses, ending with the word “neshama” (soul).
